| Sears Capital Management invests in life science ventures that have three basic elements: 1) An entrepreneur capable of assembling a team that can execute development and commercialization of a technology/product portfolio. If a management team already exists, that collectively it has the capabilities to successfully execute. 2) Proprietary and differential technology and/or products 3) Defined path to commercialization with well understood markets and customer needs Sears Capital Management investments to date have been sourced exclusively through personal industry contacts and backed by extensive due diligence. As an active investor Sears Capital Management assists portfolio companies with a range of business and strategic needs, including financing, corporate partnering, and management recruiting. The focus of our board representation is to increase shareholder value. We believe in rewarding management performance and taking action, including replacing management, if the required performance is not achieved. |
